Vision ("we," "our," or "us") provides a cloud-native video editing and media processing platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we collect, store, process, and protect your data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, register for an account, upload media files, and utilize our video processing infrastructure.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three primary categories:
Account & Profile Data
Name, email address, password hashes, organisation profile, team role, and billing details processed securely via Stripe.
Media & Project Assets
Video, audio, image, subtitle, and font files uploaded to your private workspace, as well as timeline configurations and exported outputs.
We also automatically collect standard telemetry and technical logs (IP addresses, browser type, request timestamps, and FFmpeg processing telemetry) necessary to operate, scale, and secure the service.
3. Media Storage & Data Isolation
Your uploaded videos, audio tracks, and exported projects are stored in isolated Google Cloud Storage (GCS) buckets encrypted at rest with AES-256 keys.
- Tenant Isolation: Data from different organisations is strictly compartmentalised using cryptographic identifiers and tenant-scoped database policies.
- Zero Content Mining: We do not sell, rent, or mine your video footage, speech transcriptions, or project edits for advertising or third-party training.
- Signed URLs: Uploads and downloads are performed directly using short-lived cryptographically signed URLs.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your information exclusively to:
- Render, trim, join, subtitle, transcribe, and export your video projects.
- Authenticate team members and enforce multi-tenant role-based access control.
- Process subscriptions and compute usage metrics (storage consumed, render minutes).
- Detect and prevent platform abuse, denial of service, and security violations.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You maintain full control over your media assets. When you delete a project, asset, or workspace in Vision:
- Raw and processed video assets in cloud storage are scheduled for immediate bucket purge.
- Database records and associated timeline states are permanently removed within 30 days.
- You may request complete account deletion at any time by contacting support.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you have the right to access, rectify, export, restrict processing, or request the deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact our privacy team at privacy@vision.com.
